Call for runners: help us fill our fell relay teams

We’re looking for club members who would like to pull on the vest and be part of this year’s British Fell Running Championship relay teams on Saturday 17 October 2026.

After hosting the championships last year, it would be fantastic to see strong club representation again. Whether you’re a seasoned fell runner or simply fancy giving it a go, this is a brilliant chance to race as part of a team, support your clubmates, and enjoy a memorable day out on the hills.

We currently have places available for the following teams:

·       Open Team

·       V40 Team

·       Women’s Team

You don’t need to be a championship-level runner to get involved. If you’re interested, even if you’re not sure whether you’re “up to it”, please get in touch. We can talk through what’s involved, match people to the right team where possible, and make sure everyone feels supported.

North Wales Cross Country League dates announced

The confirmed North Wales Cross Country League fixtures for the 2026/27 season are now available, so please add the dates to your diary:

·       Saturday 3 October 2026 – Llanerch, St Asaph

·       Saturday 17 October 2026 – Eirias Park, Colwyn Bay

·       Saturday 28 November 2026 – Bala

·       Saturday 30 January 2027 – Leaton Farm, Baschurch

·       Saturday 13 February 2027 – Marches School, Oswestry

Race start times are listed as juniors at 10.30am, women/under-18 men/65+ men at 1.00pm, and men at 2.00pm. The North Wales Cross Country Championships are also scheduled for Saturday 2 January 2027 at Bodrhyddan Hall.

More details about registration and club arrangements will follow, but for now the key message is simple: if you want to race for the club this autumn and winter, please let us know.
