Club Athletes Excel for Wales in a Standout Day of Racing

International honours, a trail-race victory and a new 5K club record made it a memorable day for our athletes.

Congratulations to Daniel Kashi, Gwion Bobo Roberts and William Edward Dunn, who represented Cymru Masters at the New Forest Half Marathon trail race.

Kashi delivered a superb performance to take the overall victory, while Gwion claimed bronze in the M35 category. The event also marked Masters debuts for Daniel and Gwion.

Competing for your country demands dedication, hard work and grit—qualities the trio showed across the multi-terrain course of tracks, gravel paths and undulating forest trails. All three did Wales and the club proud.

Roberts Races to 5K Club Record

Later in Cardiff, Owen Roberts brought his summer 5K season to a spectacular close at the Podium 5K. He finished fifth overall, was the first Welsh athlete home and set a phenomenal new club record of 14:01.

The performance was made even more special as it was Owen’s first road race for Wales. Da iawn, bois—congratulations to everyone on an exceptional set of performances.
