This week’s Tuesday Night Series was our “local” one in Porthmadog. On another lovely night for racing the event was won by Hebog’s Rhys Jones in 31:59 from Gavin Roberts of Calder Valley and Siôn Edwards of Eryri. Miranda Grant-Roberts won the Women’s event in 39:35 and 15th overall from Hebog’s Siân Williams in 39th place and Clare Donnelly of Eryri. Hebog had 3 men in the top 10 demonstrating the growing strength of their fell sqad. Sole Goat was Nich Bradley in 85th out of 111 survivors of the course. Nich was soundly beaten (again!) by Eryri’s young Mike Snell who finished in joint 52nd spot and 1st M70, with Derek Weaver pushing Nich to 3rd out the 4 M70s.

The TNS is a great introduction to fell running and has grown in popularity such that this was one of the smaller events. As someone said where else can you get as much fun on a Tuesday night for £2! The series is drawing to close with only a couple of races left this year, But it is well worth a car share if you can getting off promptly on a Tuesday to register at the event by 6:45
